Popcorn Cranberry garland

This is a basic garland but it always looks very pretty!
You can put it on a Christmas tree like on the photo
or anywhere else! After the holidays, simply put it
on bushes outside for birds & squirrels.

cranberrypopcorn garland You need :
1 day old fat free popcorn
Fresh cranberries
Waxed dental floss
1 medium needle

Simply string cranberries
& popcorn on the waxed dental floss,
1 & 1 or 2 in a row etc.

 

Cinnamon Applesauce Ornaments

1 cup cinnamon
1 tbsp. ground cloves
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tbsp ginger
3/4 c. applesauce

In medium bowl, combine cinnamon, cloves, allspice,
popcornline

ginger & nutmeg. Add applesauce, stir to combine.
Work mixture with hands 2 to 3 minutes or until dough
is smooth and ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut dough with cookie cutters.
Using straw or pencil, make small hole in top of ornament.
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 150 degrees for 1 hour
Remove from the cookie sheet and bake on the oven
racks for another hour and a half.

Use these ornaments to decorate gifts, hang on tree, etc.

Cinnamon Stick Votive Candle Holder

You need :
Glass votive holder with straight sides.
One dozen cinnamon sticks.
Hot glue gun and glue sticks.
Red ribbon to wrap around votive and form a bow.

Instructions:
Cut the ends off of the cinnamon sticks
to make them just as tall as the votive holder.

Use the glue gun to glue the cinnamon sticks
vertically to the outside of the votive holder.
Glue the sticks, one next to the other until
the entire votive holder has been covered.

Tie ribbon around the holder and form a bow.

Porch Snowman

You need :
A large foam pillow
A large white pillow case
Five 2" black buttons
Five 1 1/2" black buttons
Scarf
Hat
Orange felt (8" x 10")
Paper

Instructions :

Put the pillow case on the pillow.
Stand the pillow on end, open side
of the pillow case at the top.
Tie the scarf around the pillow about 1/3
of the way from the top.

The portion of the pillow above the scarf
is the head.
Sew 2" black buttons for eyes, and make a smile
by sewing on five 1 1/2" black buttons in a U shape.

To make the nose, cut a large triangle out of the felt.
Make it as large as the felt piece allows.
Fold the triangle in half and sew closed along the
length of the triangle. Stuff with a little paper.
Stitch the open ends to the snowman.

Sew the three remaining buttons on
below the scarft (as the snowman's buttons).

Stuff the hat with a little crumpled paper &
place it on the snowman's head, tucking in
the loose ends of the pillow case.
