Thanksgiving is a very special holiday,
it's the time to think about the past year
and to be thankful for big & little things.
It's also the occasion to be with friends & family!

It's been a wonderful year so far, so fast too : )

...friendship is so special &
so important!
Thankful for all the sunny days, & the happy times.

Thanksgiving Parade is my very favorite, I never miss it! It opens the holiday season & it's a Thanksgiving tradition...

Here's the recipe of my favorite pumpkin pie...
Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Pie
2 cups cooked & mashed pumpkin
1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pie crust (home made or not)
1/4 cup chopped pecans
8 pecan halves
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar & eggs.
Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, cloves and salt until smooth.
Put chopped pecans at the bottom of the crust then pour in pumpkin mix. Add pecan halves on top around edge of pie.
Bake 55 to 60 minutes
Cool on wire rack.
